Learning Outcomes

Football has been a personal passion of mine for as long as I can remember, so when the school offered it as an afterschool activity, there was no way I would miss out on that. While I have played the game for a long time and wouldn't be learning something entirely new, there is nevertheless still always room for improvement, and my skills are not at a level at which improvement is tedious yet.
Year 1 my Goals within the team were simple. I wanted to Improve my own play, and I wanted to win the competition at the end. While I had at first been focused on personal developement, I realized more throughout the year that if we want to win anything as a team, the majority of our developement should be going towards creating stronger links and understanding each other. The Final Ceesa tournament arrived, and by that time our team was ready to take on anyone. We went through the competition, winning every game, often sky high, and won the desired trophy in the end.
Year 2 my goals did not differ much. Improvement is a neverending journey, concerned more with the continuous betterment than any individual results. As such my goal of improving my football skills would not seize to push me. My competitive side was much more concerned with winning the tournament again however.
The greater challange in the second year was creating a championship winning team when many of our best players from the previous year have graduated. This year, much more than last year, we had to therefore focus on our teamplay rather than depending on individual talent.
The second year, the tournament was just as enjoyable as the first year. The were more schools arriving, and we got to play more matches throughout the tournament this time. Our first game was a little bit of a rocky start, as we could only achieve a draw, despite playing in front of our entire school and having the home crowd chear us on. We battled ourselves through to the finals, where we had to facae our toughest challange yet. Even though the match was incredibly close and even had to go to penalties, we managed to extract the victory and celebrate with the team and some loyal fans who stayed to watch.
Overall, achieving back to back victories is no small feat, achieving more than I could have Imagined at the beginning. When it comes to personal growth, I believe my skills have much Improved since 2 years ago. More importantly, I have built bonds with my teammates and learned how to play with them in a team, giving me a lot more for personal developement.
