IB Review Podcast

For our CAS project, me and three of my friends have decided that we would create a Podcast centereed around IB experiences and advice for future IB takers. We first came up with that idea early 2024, but at that time we did not yet have the necessary experience to talk from an educated standpoint. Additionally, one member of our group unfortunately left us before the beginning of the second year. Throughout our whole IB journey we have collected experience, knowledge, stories, and advice that we wanted to pass on. After we finished our exams we sat together to reflect on this journey filled with much hardship but also much joy, learning and growth.

In the Podcast itself we talk about the all the unique aspects of the IB program, we talk about our personal experiences throughout the IB program. We discuss our hardships we were presented with, and the things that ended up easier than expected. Many unique perspectives of 3 different IB students are given in that podcasts along with many insights. We involved our creativity to present everything to our listeners in the form of a podcast, to make it easy to understand and learn from it. However, at its core the podcast is a service; we know how difficult it can be when you start into IB without direction, or only with the insights from teachers, which are of course incredibly valuable but lack the student perspective. We want to reach out a helping hand to all those who might feel lost and guide them through the seemingly dark and scary forest of IB, to show them the light and how they can achieve all they want in this program.

Ultimately, the podcast is a reflection of our two years of IB, each of us has learned a lot, and grown tremendously. Only as we were recording the podcast, as I stopped and took a look behind, did I realize how far I have come. I realized just how much I grew and I've learned and how far I believe these experiences will carry me through my future. Our goal was to reflect and to reach a helping hand to future students; we have certaily reflected, and wether we can actually help anybody only remains to be seen.
